False alarm
When Claudia looked at the photograph again, she stopped and hung up the phone with the police on the other side. She had made a terrible mistake, it was a complete false alarm. There was actually nothing wrong with Ava’s legs at all. It was just an optical illusion from J’Ann’s pants.
Claudia looked closer and saw that Ava’s legs were fine, she was just tucked into J’Ann’s pants. J’Ann did this so that she could cook and watch Ava at the same time. She was multitasking, but everything was going well. Claudia felt so embarrassed and finally understood just how silly she had been acting.
